Montana Residents: Tuition
and most fees for the MBA Program
are approximately $300 per credit for Montana residents.
Non-residents:
Tuition is approximately $725 per credit. New residents must have lived in Montana for
at least one year in order to qualify for Resident Tuition status.
Such individuals can accrue time toward Resident status while
enrolled at UM provided they take fewer than six credits per term.
In addition, new residents that have moved to Montana for reasons
of employment (including spouses of employed persons) can qualify
for Resident Tuition Status by completing an Employer
Affidavit Form. Please note the employed must
have full-time employment status. The form is available from the Day MBA

Montana
University System Employees: A tuition waiver is
available for students that fall into this category.
Qualifications and the waiver form are accessible via

Additional Course Fees:
►Off-campus program students pay an
additional fee of $131 per credit for evening classes assessed
for off-campus course delivery.
►Students in the Missoula daytime
program pay a supertuition from $150-$250 dependent upon the
number of credits registered for.
►All weekend classes (except during
summer session) are subject to a supplemental fee of $131 per
credit.
Online Course Fees:
Our 3-credit online business foundation courses (prerequisites
for our MBA core courses) have a tuition rate as listed above
($300 per credit for residents and $725 per credit for
non-residents). The online courses are also subject to an online
learning fee of $48 per credit.
Financial Aid
Full-time Students: Both
scholarships and graduate assistantships are available to
full-time students maintaining a minimum of 9 credits per
semester. See

Off-campus Students: The
MBA
Tuition Loan Program, is suitable for a student taking
as few as 3 credits per semester. This program is administered
by Sallie Mae (www.salliemae.com/mbaloans)
but loan applications must be submitted through the Off-Campus
MBA Program office, rather than on-line. Application forms are available
by e-mail request to mbadll@wtp.net
and students may apply for this loan even when enrolled as graduate
non-degree students.
Federal Financial Aid: An
additional form of financial aid
is the Federal Stafford Loan Program administered
by the Financial
Aid Office at The University of Montana. Stafford Loans are
available only to students admitted to Graduate School who take
at least 6 credits per semester. Students can borrow up to the
full cost of tuition and books under either the Federal Stafford
or the MBA Tuition Loan Program.
