The Master of Accountancy (MAcct) Program has
been offered by The University of Montana in Missoula since 1992.
Since its inception, this graduate program has been accredited as
part of the AACSB School of Business Administration. The MAcct and
undergraduate accounting program also have separate AACSB accounting
accreditation since 2001. The MAcct Program at UM had the honor
of achieving the highest past rate in the country on the May 2000
CPA exam for graduate programs. These two external sources verify
the quality of this program.
Ninety percent or greater of our MAcct
students have jobs either before they graduate or within 3 months
of graduation. Although a class is offered at the end of the program
to help you pass the CPA exam, that is only one goal of the program.
The structure of the MAcct is aimed at helping ensure that you have
the overall skills to be a strong, productive asset to the profession
of accounting when you graduate.
| “Participation
in the Accounting and MAcct programs was a terrific experience
for me. Covering all aspects from theory to practice, the
curriculum was well-rounded, challenging, and even fun;
the instructors were outstanding; and I was so well-prepared
that I passed the CPA exam on my first try.”
